Senior Software Engineer

Hello, my name is Alek, and I’m a Senior Software Engineer with 8 years of experience building web and mobile apps, mostly with TypeScript, React, React Native, Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. Right now I work as a Full-stack Software Engineer at Red Alert Labs, on a platform for cybersecurity certification of IoT devices.

I’ve worked on products in cybersecurity, automotive, and OTT video streaming. Some were tools for internal teams, others were used by thousands of people. What I enjoy most is solving problems that make an app faster or easier to use.

Lately I’ve been getting deeper into AI engineering. I built an AI assistant that’s now live in production at Red Alert Labs, and I keep learning more about tool calling, sub-agents, evals, and RAG.

IoT Certification Platform

I built a form engine that turns JSON schemas into multi-step certification workflows. Adding a new certification scheme used to take 3-4 weeks of back-and-forth between engineers and our cybersecurity specialist. Now the specialist does it alone in about 10 hours. The engine powers 25+ schemes and has supported 5,000+ issued certificates. I also built an AI assistant, now live in production, that helps users fill out these forms.

Ferrari Beverly Hills

I led frontend development of the dealership’s web app, an 8-month build that we delivered on time and on budget. I managed a team of 4 developers and ran weekly demos with the client. The app has a vehicle inventory (150+ pre-owned listings, 20+ new models), a registry of 38,000+ US-registered Ferraris, 300+ dealership events, and a customer forum, all managed through a CMS.

OTT Video Streaming Platform

I built the React web app and the React Native mobile app for a streaming product with 300+ live TV channels and around 1,000 on-demand movies. I designed the multitenancy setup that let one codebase serve 5 white-label clients, including a sports streaming service with 5,000+ users. I also worked on the internal admin tools: a CRM, a CMS, and a real-time statistics dashboard.

HabitStars

An offline habit tracker for iOS where you scratch a star each time you complete a habit. I built the app state with Zustand and AsyncStorage, including versioned storage and migrations, and handled the App Store releases through EAS. I used Claude Code as a pair-programmer, but the architecture and product decisions were mine.
